Hello Corunna Soccer Families!

We have some exciting details to share about the upcoming 2024 outdoor season…

-Our registration for the outdoor season is now available! Please visit www.corunnasoccer.com for the registration link or click here: https://corunnasoccer.sportngin.com/register/form/606202649

-Registration deadline will be March 22, 2024

-We have adjusted our registrations fees accordingly: U5 – $100, U8 – $120 and U10+ – $140

-If you fail to register during the above time frame and chose to register after March 22, 2024, there will be a $40 late fee

-We are doing our very best to keep the same schedule as last year (see attached). There is always a slight chance this could change which is dependent on scheduling. We have been successful in keeping the same schedule for the last 6+ years though

-The season will start during the week of May 13 and conclude the week of August 9

-We have chose to start our U8 teams at 6:15 this season (vs 7:00)

-As a reminder, we are pairing up with Petrolia this year to offer a more competitive and well rounded soccer experience for U10 and U14 participants. This means that roughly half of the games will be played in Petrolia.

-Due to some unforeseen challenges last year, we are moving away from custom fit uniforms. Uniforms will still be provided however.

-If you have any interest in assisting us through coaching, convening or participating on the executive, please email: president@corunnasoccer.com to indicate your interest

Dear Corunna Soccer Families,

2023 was quite an exciting season! We hope everyone enjoyed themselves and look forward to more soccer next year.

Please accept this notification as our intent to hold our Annual General Membership Meeting (AGM) on November 15th at 7:00pm.

If you’re interested in attending, we will be meeting at Mooretown Sports Complex in the second level meeting room adjacent to the library.

Good Morning Corunna Soccer Families!

We are excited to offer our ‘2023 Winter Indoor Skills’ program this year. This program will run differently compared to our outdoor league. This program will focus on skill development such as dribbling and ball control in confined spaces.

Details:

Cost: 85$ per person. If you are registering more than one child, subsequent costs are only 65$ per child.

Duration: Mondays – Nov 6 -> Dec 18; January 8 -> Mar 4 (excluding February 19th)

Location: St. Joseph’s Catholic School Gym

Time: 5:30-6:15 for 7-9 year olds; 6:30-7:15 for 10-12 year olds

Capacity: We are limiting participation to 7-9 year old’s (born in 2014-2016) and 10-12 year old’s (born in 2011-2013). We have 20 positions open in each category (total of 40). Registration is available on a first come, first served basis. Registration is open immediately and closing on Oct 20 or earlier if all positions are filled. Please see below for the link.

Hello everyone – Metcalfe will be at CAP on Thursday and Friday (August 17 and 18) from 4:30-7:00 pm for photo pick up. They will be stationed by the tennis court / parking lot off of Colbourne. If you’re unable to make it, please consider asking a neighbor, friend or relative to pick up on your behalf. Thank you!

Congratulations to everyone on a successful 2023 outdoor soccer season!

The season is now complete and we owe a huge amount of thanks to a lot of people and organizations.

We would like to thank and acknowledge:

-Our sponsors for helping keeping our costs low and contributing to youth sports (Corunna Home Hardware, Rustic Scoops, Pets Life and Sunrise Steel Solutions)

-St Clair Township for maintaining our fields, installing, removal and storage of our soccer nets

-Our soccer player parents who support the players

-Our soccer players for coming out each week and having fun

-Petrolia Soccer Club for helping us organize a league where we can play against many teams

-The referees who help instruct and provide us a realistic game experience

-Our committee of volunteers that work tirelessly to make the league a reality

-Our coach volunteers who dedicate many hours to ensure your child has a positive experience and can learn more about the sport of soccer

-Rustic Scoops and Antonio’s for providing us the opportunity to work with them to offer year end gifts to all participants

Thank you to you all. Without your dedication, commitment and support, this league would not be what it is today.

We will be circulating a survey shortly. We would appreciate if you could take the time to let us know what we’re doing well and what we can improve upon.

We unfortunately have another storm system moving in tonight similar to last week with heavy rains, high winds, hail possibilities and risk of tornados. As a result we feel its best to cancel tonight’s (July 26) events for the safety of everyone.

For the team playing in Corunna, please arrive at 6:30 to minimize interruption to the game. Once Metcalfe Photography is complete, they will head to Petrolia to photograph the other Corunna team.
